Overview of Silas Calloway
Silas Calloway Sr was 71 years old. He was a grandfather, father, and friend. He was a retired construction worker and farmer. On February 20, 1993, Silas was found beaten and strangled to death at his farm. His empty wallet was found nearby. Calloway Sr., was found by his son, Silas Jr, inside his yellow pick up truck on his property, covered with a coat. The family is concerned that Silas' case was initially considered a heart attack. The family was allowed inside the home before investigators could search and collect evidence. Most recently, the case was reopened, and the family is actively seeking justice for Silas. The Pittslyvania County Sheriff's Office sponsored a billboard on 265 Danville Bypass in hopes that someone with information would come forward.
