Haruchika Miyagi is a son, brother, friend, entrepreneur, and a global day trader with a bright future ahead of him.

Haruchika, also known as Haru, lived in American Fork, UT where he graduated from Utah Valley University. Haruchika made his own investment software program and was heavily involved in many other companies developing investment software. He was also usually very involved in several social media platforms on a daily basis. Haruchika also has created a wide variety of YouTube videos that showcase events such as bowling with his friends, tips on saving money on bills, and even videos that highlight the global trading software that he had created.

Haruchika goes missing in American Fork, UT.

Haruchika’s last post to Facebook was on December 3, 2015, just before 9:00 pm. In the post, he wrote: “The power of giving is important. Want to give as much as possible. Its called Karma." This is the last time any friends or family members have heard from Haruchika. Later that day, Haruchika is reported missing when he fails to show up at work and when no one is able to contact him. The missing person report is filed with authorities in American Fork, UT, his hometown.

Two days later, Haruchika trespasses on a private property in Dewey, AZ.

At approximately 5:00 pm, authorities receive a report of a man trespassing on a private property just outside of Dewey, AZ. According to the property’s owner, Haruchika told her that he was looking for somewhere to stay and asked if he could stay there. When the property owner declined his request and threatened to call the police, Haruchika fleed the property in his red 2002 Mazda Protege. As he left the property, he crashed the car through a gate, leaving the car damaged.

Two hours later, Haruchika’s car was found by authorities in a wash close to the property where he had trespassed. Authorities noted that the car had been abandoned and was heavily damaged, likely from Haruchika driving through the gate on the private property. When Arizona authorities realized that Haruchika was a missing person in Utah, they began searching the area of his car and the private property. Search dogs were used to assist in their search, but they were unable to pick up Haruchika’s scent.

Where the case stands today.

Today, Haruchika remains missing as he has for the last 7 years. Both Arizona and Utah authorities continue desperately searching for any signs or leads that could bring them to Haruchika’s location.

Haruchika is described as an Asian male with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, Haruchika was 5’9 tall and weighed approximately 180 lbs. He has a tattoo of his name in Chinese on his left arm. He is of Japanese descent and uses the nicknames "Haru" and "Chika".
