Overview of Willie Cooper

Willie Cooper, a U.S. Army Veteran who fought in World War II, disappeared from his home in Madisonville, Texas on June 21, 2000. According to reports, he left his family's residence on Fairview Avenue during the early morning hours while his wife was asleep.

Authorities believe that Cooper may have been attempting to drive to his hometown of Daingerfield, Texas, which is approximately 184 miles from Madisonville. However, a police officer stopped him while he was driving in Fairfield, Texas, which is about 49 miles from Madisonville and along the route to Dallas, Texas. Unfortunately, the officer did not realize that Cooper was a missing person.

After Cooper's disappearance, his 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck was found parked on the side of Interstate 45 in Fairfield. The truck was locked and had apparently overheated, but nothing was missing from it. There was no sign of Cooper, and he has never been heard from again. Some agencies may list July 22, 2000 and Dallas, Texas as the date and place of his disappearance.

Despite extensive searches and investigations, Cooper's case remains unsolved. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance are still unclear, leaving his family and loved ones without answers.
