Who murdered Sarina Marksberry in Phoenix, AZ in 2011?
Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Sarina was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had one child, a son, and two grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. She was in a relationship with a man named Robert Reiss at the time of her death. Unfortunately, not much else is known about Sarina’s life leading up to her death.
On the night of May 16, 2011, Sarina was found with serious injuries lying in the intersection of 27th Drive and West Highland Avenue in Phoenix, AZ. She was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries six days later, on May 22, 2011.
Though authorities initially believed that Sarina had been hit by a car due to the injuries she had, her autopsy revealed that her injuries were not consistent with a hit-and-run incident. After learning this, authorities ruled her case a homicide.
Sarina’s case has gone unsolved and cold for the past 11 years with no resolution. Shortly after her death, authorities were looking to speak with her boyfriend, Robert, though they did not consider him a suspect. Her case remains unsolved and her family has been left with no answers as to who killed their loved one.
