The last contact with Romina Leone and her husband, Frank Leone, was on June 18, 2003 at approximately noon by their roommate at their residence. The Leones were taking their boat, a 16ft Searay, out on a one day local boating/fishing trip. This was their first outing with the boat and the vessel may not have been seaworthy. It is believed they had no marine radio or floating devices. There were extensivie Coast Guard and marine unit searches for the couple and their vessel. Their vehicle and boat trailer were never retrieved from the boat ramp in Lantana, Fl. (Information retrieved from NamUs.gov)
