Sadly, there are very few details available about Mustapha Ba Dao or his disappearance.

Mustapha, known to those close to him as “Pha” was only 18 years old when he vanished from Brownsburg, IN. He was last seen on July 12, 2000 at a gas station waiting for a ride to go to a friend’s house. He has not been seen or heard from since. His parents reported him missing to police the following morning when he hadn’t come home.

Where the case stands today.

Mustapha’s friends and family have been searching for any sign of Mustapha for more than 22 years. As of the release of an Indianapolis Star article in 2017, Mustapha’s parents continue living in the same home and using the same phone number, in case Mustapha comes home or tries to contact them. Due to the lack of publicly available information in his case, not much is known about who Mustapha was or about what happened to him that fateful night in July of 2000.

At the time of his disappearance in 2000, Mustapha was described as an 18 year old Asian man with black hair and brown eyes. He stood between 5’4”-5’6” tall and weighed approximately 110-120 lbs. Mustapha was last seen wearing baggy blue jeans, a gray polo t-shirt, size 7.5 brown leather loafers, and a gold dragon necklace. Today, he would be 40 years old.
