Overview of Morgan Bauer
Morgan flew from Minneapolis, MN, on February 11, 2016, arriving in Atlanta, GA, on February 12, 2016. She stayed with a man she had met on Craigslist for one night, then stayed at different hotels. During her trip, she remained in contact with friends until February 25, 2016 and then abruptly went silent. Morgan, Morgan's coworker, and her coworker's boyfriend all left the Top of Gainesville club together, and they dropped Morgan off at the CITGO gas station at 3251 U.S. Highway 278 in Covington, GA where she was seen getting into a green Eclipse with an unknown driver. In her last Instagram video, posted on the day of her disappearance, Morgan is seen walking, and an unidentified man can be seen walking behind her. She had limited funds with her. She has not been seen or heard from since.
On Thursday July 27, 2023, the FBI and multiple police agencies raided a Georgia property less than a mile away from where Morgan's last video was taken. "The search warrant was obtained based on credible information and evidence gathered during the course of this investigation," said Porterdale Police Sgt. Michael Walden. Authorities retrieved "items of evidentiary interest" from the property at 2 South Broad St.; however, officials said they could not reveal additional information.
