Do you know what happened to Melody?
Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Melody McKoy was last seen on December 1, 1991, in an apartment located in the now-demolished high-rise building in the 300 block of Fremont Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland. She left behind her coat and bicycle with a flat tire, and instead wore a coat belonging to a boy who lived in the apartment. She has not been heard from since.
Melody was a sixth-grader at Harlem Park Elementary School and had a good attendance record and grades. Her mother initially believed she was staying with an aunt as it was something Melody did frequently. However, her disappearance was discovered when she failed to attend school on December 2. Her loved ones believe it is uncharacteristic of her to leave without warning and suspect that she was abducted by a non-family member.
Unfortunately, few details are available about Melody's case. She lived in the 300 block of North Mount Street in west Baltimore at the time of her disappearance. Authorities and her family are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue to search for answers regarding Melody's disappearance.
