Overview of Martin Franzel
Unfortunately, very little information is available regarding Martin or his disappearance.
Martin was last seen early on the morning of June 14, 1964 when he left his home in Minneapolis, MN for his usual morning walk. While on his walk, Martin was reportedly seen by a relative near 66th Street and Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis. He has not been seen or heard from since. When he failed to return home from his walk, an extensive search of the area surrounding his home and likely walking route was conducted. Sadly, nothing was found during the search.
Where the case stands today.
Today, Martin has remained missing for more than 58 years. His case remains unsolved and is considered to be a cold case. At the time of his disappearance in June of 1964, Martin was described as a 76 year old caucasian man with gray hair and blue eyes. He was 5’9” tall and weighed approximately 145 lbs. Martin wears glasses with metal rims, walks with a limp and a slight stoop, and uses a cane to walk. Martin was last seen wearing a cotton shirt, khaki pants, and a tan-colored cloth cap.
