Delatorre left his residence on the evening of March 8, 2000 around 2000 hours after calling for a ride from a taxi cab. It was later learned that the cab driver drove Delatorre to Orlando, Florida near Disney World. Delatorre was left at a plaza near Interstate 4. Delatorre made a phone call from the phone booth and told that taxi cab to leave and he would be returning to West Palm Beach on the following day via greyhound bus.
