Do you know what happened to Leslie Guthrie?
Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Leslie Guthrie went missing along with her two children, Julie and Timothy, on February 5, 1977, from Katonah, New York. The family left their father's home in a white 1974 Ford Maverick with the license plate number 636-WNA and have not been seen since.
Leslie was separated from the children's father, Timothy Sr., but they had a friendly relationship. Timothy Sr. reported them missing the following day after assuming they had spent the night in White Plains. He was ruled out as a suspect in the disappearance and even hired a private investigator to help with the case.
Leslie did not take any personal belongings or money from her bank account before disappearing, leading authorities to believe that she did not plan to leave permanently. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain unclear and the vehicle has not been recovered, making their case unsolved.
