Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Leanne was last in contact with her mother on July 11, 2017 via text message. Four days later, on July 15, 2017, Leanne reportedly left her home on Twin Trees Road in Garberville, CA in Humboldt County, without most of her belongings. This is the last time Leanne was seen.
Two weeks later, Leanne’s mother receives a phone call from Leanne’s boyfriend, who asked if she had seen or heard from Leanne. During the phone conversation, he lets her know that she had left the home two weeks earlier and hadn’t returned. Leanne’s mother immediately filed a missing persons report with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.
Today, more than 5 years after Leanne’s disappearance, she remains missing and her case remains unsolved. With such a minute amount of media attention her case has received, unfortunately there is very little information available about Leanne and the details surrounding her disappearance.
At the time of her disappearance, Leanne Cleo Eller was described as a 40 year old caucasian woman with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time, Leanne was 5’3” tall and weighed approximately 120 lbs. Leanne's shoulder-length hair was dyed ash-brown at the time of her disappearance. If you have any information regarding Leanne’s disappearance or her whereabouts, please contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7439.
