Overview of John Magee Jr
Jeri and Jack married after high school and had a son and a daughter.
Jack was a successful contractor; Jeri was a retired teacher who traveled 70+ countries. They were married 39 years before being gunned down in their Andover home.
On the day of the murders
Jack ran some errands for work, and came home around 4:30. Jeri was preparing the home for Christmas.
The next day, Jack and Jeri were found by their daughter lying face down, head to head, in the living area of their home. Jack had several gunshots to the head and neck, Jeri had one gunshot to the head. Their black Lexus SUV was found 30 miles away on fire in Boston's South End.
In 2024, the District Attorney released new information.
The District Attorney has revealed that the weapon used was a 0.45 caliber firearm. They also say they have a very basic description of a suspect: a male of average height, and average size. They say the crime was staged to look like a murder connected to the mob.
