Overview of Garfield Meekins
Garfield was last seen leaving his Baltimore, MD home in September of 1999.
On September 6, 1999, 80 year old Garfield James Meekins was last seen leaving his home in the 800 block of Cooks Lane in Baltimore, MD in his gold 1993 Honda Accord to go to a nearby grocery store.
The next day, September 7, 1999, Garfield’s car was discovered abandoned in the front yard of a farmer’s home off of Fort Davis Road in Warren Township, PA. Authorities are unsure why Garfield would have driven to Pennsylvania, but they believe he may have traveled up from I-70 near his home in Baltimore, into Pennsylvania where he may have taken Route 456 to Fort Davis Road where his car was found abandoned.

There has been no sign of Garfield since his disappearance on September 6, 1999. His case remains unsolved and is even considered to be a cold case by investigators who continue to question what happened to Garfield.
At the time of his disappearance in September of 1999, Garfield was described as an 80 year old African-American man with black hair that was turning white and brown eyes. He was 5’4” tall and weighed approximately 150 lbs. Garfield has Alzheimer's disease and a heart condition and he was last seen wearing a size 16 multicolored striped shirt, blue dress pants, a belt, black socks and dress shoes, a black hat, gold watch, and a gold ring.
