Ernesto Xe grew up in Clovis & Fresno, CA. With his twin sister, he attended Fancher Creek Elementary, Reyburn Intermediate, and Clovis East High School. Ernesto Xe was attending San Francisco City College.

Ernesto Xe was indescribable. In his short but very vibrant life, he touched so many people, traveled the world, and lived every day to its fullest. He leaves behind his loving parents, Irma G. and Ken Braxton, and Guadalupe Acosta, his siblings sister Amri, twin sister Nani (Andrea), brother Lupito, sister Franxesca, sister Ixchel, brother Abel and sister Sita and their families, as well as countless other loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Ernesto Xe loved and will be forever loved by all who knew him.Ernesto Acosta was walking to a friend's house near San Francisco's Alamo Square when he was shot and killed - nobody knows why. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died. Acosta was not involved in any criminal activity and had never been arrested. When officers arrived at Hayes and Webster streets at 2 a.m. Feb. 10, they found Acosta, 23, on the ground, suffering from a gunshot wound. There was no sign of a robbery. There was no sign of an assault. Acosta, a "free-spirited man" who worked at the Whole Foods on Haight Street, was bringing a friend's belongings to her home when he was gunned down.

A year has passed since the murder of Ernesto Xe Acosta—but not a single day on which he is forgotten. ideo surveillance footage from a nearby liquor store and a passing taxicab released months after the shooting by investigators show an unidentified gunman in what police believe to be a white Lexus ES 350. Xe is walking on the sidewalk, then veers off his path as the car pulls up, seemingly calling him over. What happens next is painful and unexplainable. Police believe that a gunshot was fired from the car— as Xe is seen stumbling back across the street, before collapsing on the sidewalk at the intersection.

"It was a senseless, cold-blooded murder for no apparent reason," "He was a hard worker, he was well-liked - he was just basically killed for no reason," "He was just walking to his friend's house and was savagely gunned down." “This has been the hardest thing my family has ever gone through,”
