Crossed the river at Matamoros, called her husband from New Brunswick, Texas. The group was going to walk the rest of the way. Two weeks later the husband recived a call that his wife was apprehended by Border Patrol & was returned. Someone who was in the group with Elizabeth said she had gotten sick & was unable to keep walking . She was given a can of beans, & after eating them, she began to go into convulsions, and then she lost consciousness. She was supposedly left near Falfurrias, Texas, near a petroleum refinery and two ranches, Kenedy and la Grulla. (Information retrieved from NamUs.gov)
