Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Diane Wolf, a 45-year-old woman from Conewago Township, Adams County, disappeared 19 years ago and her body has not been located till date. According to state investigators, Wolf was last seen by her husband, Merle Wolf, on Jan. 29, 1999, at about 7 a.m. at their 19 Sycamore Lane home. She had worked an 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. shift at Hanover Foods that day, and she went home after work, placed her lunch box on the kitchen table and then went to the bank. Later her car was found in a parking lot covered in dirt and dust, as if it had been on a gravel road or in a quarry. Police believed that Wolf had been involved in extramarital affairs and was said to be having affairs with co-workers. Despite several leads, police were not able to find her, and in May 31, 2006, a hearing was held at the Adams County Courthouse to declare Wolf legally dead.
