Very few details are available about Diana and her disappearance.

Unfortunately, not much is known about who Diana was as a person. She was only 16 years old when she left her family’s home in Fulton, MS in 1981 to head out west. 

Diana vanished without a trace in May of 1982.

Diana reportedly last spoke with family members on May 1, 1982. According to her mother, Diana was in Fontana, CA at the time. Where she goes or what happens to her next, however, is completely unknown.

Authorities from Washington join the investigation.

During authorities’ investigation into Diana’s disappearance, they looked into the possibility that Diana may have traveled to the Las Vegas or Seattle areas. According to Diana’s mother, at one point in time, the Washington State Police informed her that they had received a tip about Diana. According to Mary’s discussion with the Washington State Police, the tipster informed them that Diana may have fallen victim to notorious serial killer Gary Ridgeway, also known as the Green River Killer. Authorities looked into the unidentified women who were believed to be Ridgeway’s victims, but they were unable to tie any of them to Diana. 

Hope fades for the possibility of a Doe identification.

Unfortunately, Diana’s dental records were destroyed by a fire at the dentist’s office, leading the possibility of Diana being identified as a Jane Doe to be very unlikely, even impossible. Her parents, however, submitted their DNA to a national database in an effort to make an identification if Diana’s body had previously been located.

Where the case stands today.

In June of 2013, the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children released an age-progressed image of Diana, showing what she may look like at 47 years old. Today, Diana’s case remains unsolved and she remains missing. She is described as a caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Diana was 5'4" tall and weighed approximately 105 lbs. She has a mole on her left cheek and a scar on her right leg. Today, Diana would be 57 years old.
