Adela was with a group of around 15 people crossing the U.S./Mexico border at Rio Bravo, Texas with a destination of Brownsville, Texas. She was last known to be alive in Brownsville. Her group traveled for 20 minutes from Brownsville (unknown direction) and then began to walk. After walking for one or two hours. She was left under a tree in a flat area and could see a house in the distance about 10 meters away. When Adela was left by the group she was traveling with, she was given directions by the guide as to how to return to a nearby house. Adela indicated that she would find a way to take a plane further into the U.S. She was never heard from again. (Information retrieved from NamUs.gov)
