Overview of Acie Robinson

De-Acie “Acie” Robinson was a beloved 27 year old father when he was senselessly killed in 2010.

On the afternoon of May 2, 2010, Acie was sitting on the front porch of his friend, Dexter Levering’s home along with another friend, Damian Tiffin, when a red or burgundy sedan pulled in front of the home and began shooting at the men on the porch. All three men were shot several times before the sedan sped off. When authorities arrived at the scene, they immediately transported all three men to the University of Nebraska Medical Center, where Acie was declared deceased. The other men survived their injuries.

"It sounded like a string of fireworks. There were about eight shots, then a pause and then about eight more shots.” - A neighbor reported to authorities.

Authorities initially considered whether a separate report of shots fired approximately 45 minutes earlier just blocks away from where Acie was shot may be connected, but have not released their findings. No one was injured during this incident.

Where the case stands today.

In the 12 years that have passed since Acie was senselessly killed, his family has received no answers as to who was responsible for his murder. Authorities continue searching desperately for any new leads or avenues to investigate. Authorities have considered gang activity as a possible motive for his murder, but his family insists that he was not involved in any gangs.
