Wendy Byron, a California resident, was last seen in August 1978 at her home in Glendora. The circumstances of her disappearance were deemed suspicious, and she has not been heard from since. Wendy's car was discovered abandoned at the Ontario International Airport shortly after her disappearance.

Robert Byron, her husband, has been considered a possible suspect in her disappearance but has not been charged. He previously stated that Wendy had moved to Ohio and changed her identity and that he had been in contact with her years after her disappearance. He currently resides in Covina, California.

In 2013, authorities conducted a search of Wendy's former home, but no evidence was uncovered. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance, and the case remains unsolved.
