Stanley Chen was observed fishing at the waters edge at a fishing spot known as Bamboo Ridge. The witness who observed Chen was at the top of the ridge, and briefly left the area. Upon his return, the witness did not see Chen, but observed Chen's fishing gear still on the ledge. An extensive ocean search was conducted however, Chen was never found.
