Do you know what happened to Ricardo?
Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
The disappearance of Ricardo Garcia from Bad Axe, Michigan in 2002 remains unsolved. Garcia and Jose Felix had traveled from Hidalgo County, Texas to Michigan separately that month to work with their families in the fields. On July 18th, Garcia was last seen in Bad Axe.
According to reports, an argument ensued between Garcia, Felix, two Mexican males, and a female at Maple Lane Motels outside of town. Following the altercation, Garcia and Felix got into a car with the others, and they were never heard from again. Authorities later recovered two vehicles that they believe were involved in the case.
Investigators suspect that Garcia and Felix were abducted and taken first to Saginaw, Michigan, and then to Mexico. It is uncharacteristic of them to be out of touch with their loved ones, and their cases remain unsolved. Despite efforts by law enforcement to bring closure to their families, Garcia and Felix's whereabouts remain a mystery, leaving their loved ones with unanswered questions for over two decades.
