Overview of Pamela Bluemel

Pamela Jean Bluemel was 15 years old at the time of her disappearance in December of 1976. Unfortunately, there is no available information about who Pamela was as a person or her life in general.    On December 11, 1976, Pamela attended a dual wedding reception at the VFW Hall in Lakewood, CO. Unfortunately, there is little to no publicly available information regarding this wedding reception, or Pamela's actions afterward. Sometime that December, Pamela's parents reported her missing to the Lakewood Police Department, with the belief that she had run away.   On August 18, 1977, human remains were found underneath a trailer behind a motel in Lakewood, CO, less than one mile away from the VFW Hall where the wedding reception was held. Within the next two weeks, investigators were able to determine that the remains belonged to Pamela due to dental records and a fingerprint match, though they were not able to determine a cause of death.   There has been no news in Pamela's case since her remains were discovered in 1977, though it seems that the investigation continues behind the scenes. If you have any information regarding the death of Pamela Bluemel, please contact the Lakewood Police Department's Cold Case Unit at (303) 987-7474 or send your tip in an email to coldcase@lakewoodco.org.
