Omayra Velasquez vanished after leaving her home in October of 1993.

Omayra was last seen leaving her home in the 100 block of Taylor Drive in Bridgeport, CT on October 16, 1993. According to authorities, they believe that Omayra may have traveled to a nightclub on the corner of Iranistan Avenue and Gregory Street in Bridgeport, CT with an unidentified male on the night of her disappearance, though this has not been confirmed. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Today, Omayra has remained missing for more than 29 years. In February of 2020, her family members and friends gathered to honor her on what would be her 47th birthday. Omayra’s case has very little information that is publicly available and it seems that her case has gone completely cold. At the time of her disappearance in 1993, Omayra was described as a 21 year old hispanic woman with light brown hair and brown eyes. She was 5’2” tall and weighed approximately 150 lbs. Omayra has a small scar under her chin. She was last seen wearing light colored jeans, a short brown leather coat, and black boots. Today, she would be 50 years old.
