Update: The body of 17-year-old Nikki Kuhnhausen was located December 7, 2019 in east Clark County off a logging road on Larch Mountain when a citizen located a human skull. Detectives later recovered more bones, as well as clothing and jewelry in the area, scattered across the rugged landscape by animals. David Bogdanov was convicted of killing Nikki after a jury found him guilty of second-degree murder and malicious harassment, which is a hate crime under Washington law, in August 2021. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison on September 9, 2021.
