Overview of Nanette Thomas
51-year-old Nanette Thomas disappeared from Montgomery, AL on Friday, April 8, 2016. Family members became alarmed when Nanette's employer called and said she had not been to work in a few days. It was unlike her, she was a loyal employee who rarely missed a day of work.
Her family immediately went to her Eastdale Road apartment, but she was not home and nothing inside her apartment appeared out of order. However, unanswered phone calls and missing work was not like Nanette, so a missing person report was filed with Montgomery Police Department.
""This is not like her to be away for this long. And it's not like her to miss work. We're just praying and asking God for her appearance."" Ray Thomas, Nanette's son, to WSFA 12.
At the time of her disappearance, Nanette worked for Malone Staffing at Glovis America, a company that processes Hyundai automobiles for shipment to dealers. She was also the supervisor of Rickem Samuel, a young man who went missing just 6 days before Nanette. Nanette had even assisted in searches for Rickem in the days following his disappearance. Even with the commonalities, Montgomery PD has indicated they do not think there's a connection between the two cases. Sadly, Rickem's remains were located in the 300 block of South Hopper St. in Montgomery on June 30th. According to an article from WSFA12, Montgomery PD do not feel there's a connection between the two cases.
There's been little information released by Montgomery PD about the investigation into Nanette's disappearance, and she continues to be listed as a missing person in the ALEA database.
