Maurice, also known as "Moe" told his sister on the morning of his disappearance that he wanted to go to the airport. He left his apartment in the 9000 block of Contee Road in Laurel, MD around 7:00 am and has not been seen or heard from since.
Today, it has been nearly 16 years since Maurice was last seen or heard from in December of 2006. His case remains unsolved, though considered to be a "cold case". At the time of his disappearance in 2006, Maurice was described as a 20 year old African-American man with black hair and brown eyes. He was between 6'1"-6'2" tall and weighed approximately 185 lbs. Maurice has a tattoo of the Scorpio astrological sign across his upper back and another tattoo on his right arm. His face, neck, and upper body are hairy, and he has a hairy, dark-colored birthmark on his ribcage. He also has scars on both of his upper arms as well as on the right side of his face. He suffers from bipolar disorder and schizophrenia and requires medication. He uses the nickname "Moe".
