Matthew Adam Gianopoulos was only 21 years old when his life was senselessly taken.

Matthew was originally from Riverside, CA and moved to Aurora, CO where he graduated from Rangeview High School in 2010. Matthew loved hip hop music and his favorite quote was “Only God can judge me” - Tupac Shakur. Matthew held a lot of pride in living in Colorado, so much so that he had “303”, Denver’s area code, tattooed on the back of his arm.

Matthew was shot in a Denver, CO neighborhood in October of 2012.

Authorities responded to the 4500 block of Biscay Street in Denver, CO around 6:08 pm on the evening of October 3, 2012 to find Matthew struggling with gunshot wounds. They transported him to the University of Colorado Hospital, where he would succumb to his injuries shortly after.

Today, it has been more than 10 years since Matthew’s life was senselessly stolen from him. His friends and family have had to live with more questions than answers for the more than 10 years that they’ve been left with more questions than answers.
