After spending time at a neighbors house, Martha left to head back home for dinner. What happened after that is unclear as her family has given varying stories. In 2009, Marthas brother David confessed to killing her that day, said he pushed her, she fell onto the ground and hit her head on a piece of metal and blood poured out. He claimed he dug a makeshift grave however police have searched the area and did not locate Martha, she has never been located. Her brother has since recanted his confession and states he believes she could still be alive. Authorities still have hope that Martha's case can be solved.
