Martha Bell Kadayso was a 28 year old mother to two young girls, was a member of the Comanche Tribe, and was living in Oklahoma at the time of her disappearance in 1985. Tragically, almost no information about who Martha was as a person or what she enjoyed prior to her disappearance.
Martha is believed to have last been seen on August 15, 1985 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, though some reports only list her missing date as being sometime in August of 1985. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unknown. There has been no contact or sightings that have been reported of Martha since her disappearance. In the years following her disappearance, the state of Oklahoma declared her legally deceased.
“First she was missing. But then we never got the answers or anything so we finally had to declare her dead after so many years” - Kimberly, Martha’s daughter.
In recent years, Martha’s two daughters have become her advocates. They frequently attend MMIW events in honor of their mother, including a 2017 ‘Walk To Remember’ in Oklahoma.
“Not all stories are the same, but maybe that could help us too to open back up our mother’s case” - Felecia, Martha’s daughter.
Where the case stands today. Today, Martha would be 68 years old and she has remained missing for the past 36 years. Martha is described as a Native American woman, who stands between 5’2”-5’7” tall, weighs between 120-140 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.
