The U.S. Coast Guard searched the Atlantic Ocean for about seven hours Saturday for a 37-year-old man from Virginia who was missing after a 21-foot boat capsized at 11:30 a.m. near Cape Lookout. A second man, 37-year-old Donald Sheets who was also from Virginia, was treated for hypothermia and taken to Carteret General Hospital after the Coast Guard received a call reporting that Sheets was waving his arms and yelling for help on Cape Lookout Bight, according to a written release from the Coast Guard.

The boat eventually washed up on the beach at Cape Lookout, but officials don't how far from shore it capsized or what caused it, Pardini said. (Information retrieved from NamUs.gov)
