Overview of Lisa Shuttleworth

Lisa Shuttleworth was a divorced, single mother of two. Friends and family describe her as an outgoing and independent woman who always put her children first.

Lisa disappeared sometime after 10:00 am after speaking with a friend on the phone. Lisa was discovered missing after failing to pick her son up at the bus stop.

When Lisa's mother was informed that Lisa did not pick up her son at the bus stop and there was no one at the house, she used her key to enter the residence. Upon entering, Lorraine saw Lisa's tea kettle on the stove but moved off the burner and it had a napkin wrapped around the handle from someone moving it. Lisa's purse was missing but her driver's license and social security card were found in the house. Her parents believe she was abducted outside of her house because there was no sign of a struggle inside the house.

Mitochondrial DNA profiles of her biological parents and children are on file with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) and the FBI Missing Persons Laboratory.
