Overview of Keith Tindale
Keith William Tindale was last seen in June of 1983 at an Air Force Base.
Keith joined the U.S. Air Force in 1980. He was stationed at bases in Wichita, KS and San Antonio, KS before eventually being stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish, LA. In May of 1982, Keith found himself in trouble when he stole a motorcycle and left base to visit his family in Florida. While in Florida, authorities confiscated the motorcycle and threatened to court-martial him for the stolen property.
The day before his disappearance, Keith withdrew around $900 from his bank account and sold or gave away all of his personal belongings. With the money he made, he purchased a motorcycle from another Airman on base. Keith was last seen on June 1, 1983 leaving Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier Parish, LA to go camping with two other friends from the Air Force. This is the last time Keith has been seen or heard from.
Where the case stands today.
Today, Keith remains missing. With no sign of him or evidence leading to his whereabouts being found since his disappearance in 1983, his case is officially labeled a cold case. Not only is Keith listed as a missing person, he is also wanted for desertion. Air Force officials consider Keith to be a deserter who was afraid of his upcoming court-martial decision. They do not believe foul play was involved in Keith’s disappearance, so they never conducted any searches or even a criminal investigation into his disappearance.
At the time of his disappearance in 1983, Keith was described as a 21 year old caucasian male with brown hair and blue eyes. He was 6’ tall and weighed approximately 160 lbs. Keith has birthmarks on both of his knees and previous fractures to his left index finger, and his lower right leg and foot.
