On September 16, 2020, Joe Willis Giles was reported missing. After a four-month search, the Coahoma County Sheriff's Office announced the discovery of a body in a car registered to Giles, located in a ditch by the side of the road. The Sheriff's Office stated that there is no evidence of foul play in Giles' death, but the cause of death has not been disclosed.
