Overview of Jessica Vargas Beatriz
Jessica Vargas Beatriz lived with her father, Jesus Vargas, at Tropicana Apartments in Sanford, Florida, during the time of her abduction. Her mother, Leticia Beatriz Martinez, had visitation rights. On November 4, 2006, Leticia arrived to pick up Jessica at 10:00 p.m. with several men. The group threatened Jesus and demanded that he surrender his daughter. Jesus and three of his friends fought with Leticia and her companions, resulting in stabbings. Unfortunately, one of the men, Osman Javera Rivera-Alvardo, who was Jesus's brother and Jessica's uncle, died later in the hospital. The abductors managed to take Jessica and flee in a white four-door compact car with a possible license plate number of 036 JPG. Although the abduction vehicle was discovered later in central Florida, Jessica has never been seen since.
At the time of her daughter's disappearance, Leticia resided in an apartment complex in Sanford; however, it was vacant when authorities investigated. Leticia, along with the brothers Felix A. Lugo and Wilrobert Lugo, are wanted for capital murder and home invasion robbery in connection with Jessica's abduction and Rivera-Alvardo's murder. Photographs of the Lugo brothers are unavailable, but Felix was 24 years old at the time and described as 6'4 tall and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Wilrobert was 17 years old and 6'2 tall and 170 pounds, also with black hair and brown eyes.
Four days after the abduction, an arrest warrant was issued for Leticia. Her date of birth is January 31, 1985, and she is described as Hispanic, 5'2 tall, and 125 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She may also be referred to as Leticia Martinez Biatriz or Leticia Beatrice-Martinez. The suspects are still at large, and they could be in New York City, California, or Mexico. Jessica is considered endangered due to the violent nature of her abduction, and unfortunately, her case remains unsolved.
