An employee with the Delaware County Engineer's Office located human remains on March 16, 1993 in a gravel pile at the property on Dunham Road, south of State Route 37E. The body was located on a gravel pile covered in trash, partially clothed. The victim was identified as Gatha D Bowman through dental records. Bowman was reported missing through Richland County on February 16, 1993. Her van was recovered near the Best Western in the Mansfield area on February 16, 1993 by a deputy on routine patrol. She was last seen at her place of employment on February 15, 1993 at 6:45 p.m. She stated to employees she was en route to a business meeting.
