Late on the evening of Sunday, July 10, 1955, Donna Sue Davis was abducted from her home in Sioux City, IA by an unidentified man. The following day, July 11, 1955 at around 4:15 pm, Donna's body was discovered in the first row of a 40-acre corn field in Sioux City, IA. Authorities determine that Donna had been dead for approximately 10-12 hours at the time of her discovery. They also determined that she had been sexually assaulted, her left jaw was broken, and there were several bruises all over her body as well as cigarette or lighter burns on her buttocks. Her case remains unsolved.
