Very little information about Donald L. Brown's life is available online. Still, we know he had family and friends who loved him.

Sunday night on February 13, 2011, Donald was at the Soniat Street intersection in New Orleans talking to a woman, and another man was in a car nearby talking to another woman. A stranger approached them and began shooting in their direction. Donald was subsequently shot and died later in an area hospital. However, authorities believe the intended target was Donald's friend, who had recently been released from jail.

Investigators are still looking for possible suspects and motives, and no arrests have been made. This case is still open.
