DeShanna, also known as DD to her family and friends, was a mother of 2 children and was 2 months pregnant with another on the way.

It was the day before Thanksgiving on 11/22/2000 when 29 year old DeShanna was last seen by her friends, walking down Crawford Street. Shortly thereafter, she was seen in the Japan Quarters area, getting into a full-sized blue pickup truck driven by an unknown white male. The vehicle had possibly Texas or Arkansas license plates. As reported by the sheriff, numerous people stated that they had not seen the truck before, and no one recognized him as being from the local area. Japan Quarters is known for its high prostitution and drug activities.

The sheriff's office joined the local authorities after exhausting all leads. There are no suspects or leads to present.
