Crystal Sue Hunt turned 21 a few days prior to her disappearance.

According to a childhood friend, Crystal had survived a serious vehicle accident just a few years before. Then she became pregnant and she and her family were looking forward to the arrival of her child in the coming month; specifically, her baby was due in July of 1998.

Crystal's boyfriend picked her up at her parent's home in Centerville, Iowa.

Later in the day on February 24, 1998, when her family did not hear from her, they contacted the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Wayne County questioned the boyfriend and he said they traveled West towards the town of Corydon, Iowa. Somewhere in Wayne County, an argument allegedly ensued and Crystal reportedly left his vehicle and walked away. He stated that was the last time he saw her.

Where the case stands today.

Today, Crystal has been missing for more than 24 years and her case remains unsolved. Crystal’s case received very little attention from local media outlets, unfortunately, so not much is known about Crystal or her disappearance.

At the time of her disappearance in 1998, Crystal was described as a 21 year old caucasian female with blonde/strawberry hair and blue eyes. She was 5’9” tall and weighed approximately 140 lbs. Crystal has a scar on her left leg from her ankle to below the knee, a scar from her wrist to elbow (unk. which arm), a scar under chin, three scar holes on each side of her pelvic area, and a scar on her right shoulder. Crystal was 5.5 months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. She was last seen wearing a white sweatshirt, white tshirt, black and white checkered stirrup pants, and Nike sneakers with blue spots on the tops.
