Quayle was last seen in Bozeman on June 6, 1978. In October of 1978, his car was found in the Revenue Flats area, approximately 5 miles southwest of Norris, MT. An extensive 8 day search of rural Norris yielded no results. Quayle was declared deceased in 1989 by the Montana 18th Judicial District Court.
