Do you know who murdered 17 year old Brandin Princole in 2012?
Our cold case database is in danger of no longer being maintained.
Brandin was known as a funny, caring young man with a good heart. The mother of Brandin’s best friend recalled in an interview that he was bright, with a caring personality, though he did have his own struggles. In September of 2012, Brandin was expelled from school and was arrested after bringing a handgun to his school. He was charged with possession of a firearm on school grounds, a felony, and was released once his bail was paid. He was also transferred to Parrish Alternative School in Omaha, NE after this incident.
"He touched a whole lot of hearts in this community, and he didn't do that because he was a bad kid.” - Denise Dennis, Brandin’s friend’s mother.
On the afternoon of October 12, 2012, Brandin was walking to a friend’s home in Omaha, NE when he was shot to death by the occupants of a passing car near the intersection of North 46th Street and Larimore Avenue. When authorities arrived shortly after, they transported him to the University of Nebraska Medical Center while performing CPR. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after the shooting.
"He's like one of my own kids, and now there's this empty space. Nobody is going to make me understand how this happened." - Denise Dennis, Brandin’s friend’s mother.
Brandin’s killers have continued to walk free for more than a decade. For the past 10 years, his family, friends, and members of the Omaha, NE community have been left without answers as to who was responsible for Brandin’s death.
"Nobody wants to say anything, and that has to stop. Somebody needs to stand up and do the right thing." - Denise Dennis, Brandin’s friend’s mother.
