The decedent's skeletal remains were found in a migrant trafficking area in the desert area of the Cabeza Prieta Mountains by U.S. Border Patrol. Initially the remains were believed to be female, however DNA analysis indicates male. The torso, one or more limbs, and one or both hands were not recovered.
