Wayne and another subject left Ruby in route to Galena on a snowmachine. They hit open water and sank approximately 4 miles west of Ruby on the Yukon River. The snowmachine was located approximately 30 feet from where the tracks end. The other subject was located deceased. Searchers dragged the open area for 24 days without success in locating Wayne.
