Overview of Trayvel Aites
19 year old Trayvel Aites was described as a loving son, brother, and friend by those who loved him. Trayvel and his family lived at their home on Frey Street in Baton Rouge for approximately 15 years before his death.
In early March 2014, Trayvel never came home, or so his family thought. He had been missing for almost a week before his father found his lifeless body in his backyard. Rumors indicate that Trayvel was seen out on the corner talking with someone. A few minutes later, Trayvel was running from someone, and that same someone was shooting at him. But who? He did what most people would do, run and hide. Trayvel made it back to his backyard, where he eventually died from his injuries.
Trayvel's father came home from work just like so many days before, but something told him to check the backyard on this particular day. It was there, right below the master bedroom window, where he found his son's body, and he had been shot twice in the back.
Trayvel and his family had lived on Frey street for most of his life since he was a small child. You would think someone would come forward, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case. The family has since moved from the area, not only because of having to reimagine Trayvel's body lying outside in the backyard every day but also because they have 2 other sons that they have to worry about. This case remains unsolved and will probably stay that way unless someone comes forward. This family needs to know who killed their son and why, and Trayvel deserves justice.
