On August 16, 1976, a fisherman discovered a plastic bag on the banks of the Pueblo Reservoir containing human remains. Hours later, another plastic bag was found containing more remains approximately 20 miles away on Pueblo's east side. The investigation quickly identified the remains as Sharon Marie Copp; a 34-year-old mother of three girls. Sharon Copp have been beaton and sexually assaulted and it was determined that she died from blunt force trauma. Anyone with information regarding this case, is asked to please contact the Pueblo Police Department at (719) 553-2502.
