Ryan Jensen went missing on March 13, 2007, from his residence in Erda, Utah. He was last heard from when he spoke to a relative on the phone, and he did not show up for work the next day.

When his home was searched, his keys were found in the door, the back door was open, and his binoculars and .22 caliber handgun were missing. However, his vehicles, horses, and cell phone were left behind.

Jensen was facing personal and financial difficulties and was about to be served with divorce papers. Despite being an experienced hiker and trapper, and an extensive search in the Oquirrh Mountains, no evidence was found, and his case remains unsolved.
