Overview of Roseanna Forcum
Roseanna Forcum was only 16 years old at the time of her disappearance.
Her and her younger sister were being raised by their father, after their mother left and moved to Texas the year prior in 1997. She had recently completed a Juvenile Offender program for truancy related to missing school. Roseanna had a history of running away and "disappearing" for extended periods of time, however, her family reports that she usually phoned them shortly after leaving.
The day Roseanna vanished.
Most reports indicate Roseanna and April suggested that they were going to a party prior to their disappearance. The only detail that can be confirmed is that Roseanna and April left April's apartment in Milaca in mid-August, 1998, likely August 14, 1998, and were never heard from or seen again. Roseanna Forcum's father went to the Saint Cloud police and April Geyer's mother went to the Mille Lacs County police to report both girls missing after a few days without any contact from either of them.

An informant comes forward.
An informant came forward in late January of 2000 with information that both girls had been strangled in a St. Paul apartment and their bodies had been buried on farmland in Wadena, Minnesota, near the Leaf River. While the informant's information has not been confirmed, authorities did end up locating personal belongings of both girls that had been burnt up near the reported burial site.
Jamie, Roseanna's younger sister, confirmed identifying another of Roseanna's belongings that had been burnt up and photographed by the BCA. Further searches failed to uncover any remains or further information. The mother of April Geyer hired cadaver dogs at some point that did identify numerous points of April's scent. Jamie reported they were supposedly going to drain and dike up the area after the cadaver dogs hip but this has not happened.
