On August 15, 1993, 31 year old Robert "Bob" Anderson and his girlfriend, 30 year old Kristen Diede, dropped her son off at their paternal grandparent's house. After they dropped him off, Bob and Kristen reportedly called her friends and explained that she was having difficulty trying to get her kids back. Around this time, Kristen and Bob visit his brother. The couple were last seen leaving his home that evening in Wishek, ND, with plans to head back home. Five days later, the Dodge van they were driving was found at a railroad station parking lot in Aberdeen, SD.
